Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the founder and CEO of Thrive Global as well an author of a number of novels. Arianna Huffington has been a journalist, TV personality an author, philanthropist on television and television for more than ten years. She is also the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Originating from Greece Arianna Huffington came to England with her family when she was the age of 16. While at Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. In the beginning, as the only non-English student to graduate, she was voted as president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. She joined the conservative syndicated writer following her graduation and, with The Huffington Post launched a couple of years afterwards, she was able to create an online voice platform that provided criticisms of political situations. Her status as a celebrity helped in bringing on a host of well-known contributors to write their own opinions on politics news and culture. Arianna was famous in 2003, when she ran independently in a recall campaign in California to replace the then-Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of a Detroit energy-efficient vehicle project. Forbes classified her as the 12th most influential female in media in 2009, and Guardian also included her on the list of Top 100 media the same year. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was made president of the media company. The acquisition included numerous AOL properties at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Parents were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management consultant as well as a journalist. They were very close to her father. But it was the relationship she had with her mother that shaped her. She showed leadership traits from the beginning. After the 16th year of her life she started her studies within the United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she joined the college debating group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. She graduated in 1972 with master's degrees in Economics. After graduating, she worked as a columnist and critic and a television host. Also, she appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his assistance in editing.
